Brilliance over the Bay Fireworks Show
At Dusk - approximately 10:30 PM
The Fireworks Show is Petoskey’s grand celebration that will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display along the shores of Little Traverse Bay. The best viewing area is in Petoskey’s Bayfront Park.
Million Dollar Sunset
9:30 PM
Petoskey is famous for its “Million Dollar Sunsets” and organizers have planned another spectacular sunset over Little Traverse Bay for precisely 9:32 p.m. on July 4th. Take a look westward over the Bay for a beautiful sight.
Little Traverse Historical Society Ice Cream Social
7:00 - 9:00 PM
Enjoy ice cream cups, ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches and bottled water at the Little Traverse History Museum in Bayfront Park. Donations appreciated.
Live Entertainment
7:00-10:00 PM
Entertainment is sponsored by Petoskey Visitors Bureau. Live musical performances to take place between the end of the parade and before the fireworks. Beginning with a street concert by the Petoskey Steel Drum Band (sponsored by Drost) following the parade. The band will perform on Lake Street near the gazebo from its Double Decker Performance Trailer. The approximate performance time will be 7:00.
Starting at 7:30 pm, and continuing until the fireworks show live musical entertainment takes place along the waterfront. See the line up below.

Parade - Grandpa Shorter’s Fourth of July Parade

Enjoy the charm of this classic, small-town parade as it makes its way from the line-up area at Petoskey High School, down Mitchell Street, across on Petoskey Street to Lake Street and then up Lake Street where it ends at the gazebo in Pennsylvania Park. The Grandpa Shorter’s Parade will feature close to 50-units including the new NCMC mascot, award-winning Petoskey High School Marching Band and the famous Petoskey Steel Drum Band, as well as many other fun entries. The best parade viewing is on Mitchell Street and Lake Street Downtown Petoskey.

North Central Michigan College will unveil its new mascot who will be available for high-fives and photo-ops. You may event get a free T-Shirt! Come meet the Timber Wolf near the corner of Howard and Mitchell Streets next to the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce Office.
Crooked Tree Arts Center 50th Anniversary Celebration
5:30 – 7:00 PM
Enjoy complimentary cake and ice cream, magic and fun with Jania Taylor, and live music by the Marsupials. It’s all at the Bidwell Plaza at the Crooked Tree Arts Center, Downtown Petoskey.

Traditionally the parade begins at 6:00 pm through downtown Petoskey followed by entertainment at 7:00 pm and the fireworks go off at dusk over Little Traverse Bay.
